1. Multimedia Executive

IAIS Malaysia is seeking suitable candidate with combination of creative and technical skills for the post of Multimedia Executive.

With expertise in digital audio and visual media, you'll bring text, photos, graphics, animation and sound together to make a media-based product that can be delivered online or on a CD-ROM or DVD. The mix of media may vary, but each project has in common a computer component integrating all the parts.

When the design is complete, you'll use authoring software to arrange the files in a single program, to enable interactivity and navigation through the product content. You'll test and adjust the product to fix any technical problems and produce documentation describing the creation, content and processes of files.

Responsibilities:

As a multimedia executive, you'll need to:

a) Meet with management to establish their expectations and needs.
b) Advise management on what is technically possible and produce a proposal including, for example, the range and scope of the work and realistic timescales and costs.
c) Work with drawings, sketches, models or written instructions to design the product.
d) Create design ideas using computer-based design packages such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, Dreamweaver, Flash Player and 3D Flash Animator, Apple Final Cut Pro X and Avid audio production software.
e) Collaborate with other staff and incorporate their work into the final product.
f) Test and adjust final programs.
g) Produce finished design work (electronic – video/infographics/presentations, or printed – brochures/leaflets/book covers/posters) and present final designs to management.
h) Ensure clearance and copyright.
i) Observe institute’s policy in terms of producing and archiving product documentation, as well as any reports and recommendations.
j) Regularly manage IAIS Malaysia’s social media platform (Facebook, Youtube).
k) Monitor and provide training in multimedia related duties to less-experienced staff.
l) Setup and manage in-house studio.
m) Maintain a lively and healthy communication and work towards a consultative and congenial working environment with other staff of the Institute.
n) Be able to work independently.

Requirements:

a) University degree or diploma; candidates with technical or creative qualifications such as multimedia, visual communications or graphics design are preferred.
b) Malaysian citizen or Permanent Resident.
c) Excellent time-management and multi-tasking skills with good eye for details in design and layout.
d) Willing to commute whenever assigned by the Institute to undertake duties outside of the office.
e) Proficient in both Bahasa Malaysia and English. 


2. Conference Executive

The International Institute of Advanced Islamic Studies (IAIS) Malaysia invites interested and qualified applicants for the post of Conference Executive at the Institute. As an independent non-profit research think-tank with focus on policy research on Islam and civilizational renewal, Conference Executive plays an important role indeed for IAIS Malaysia in order to ensure success in organising international seminars, public lectures, forums, round-table discussion as well as training courses and workshops.

Responsibilities:

As a Conference Executive, you’ll need to:

(a) Coordinate the planning and preparation of all events organized by the Institute.
(b) Provide onsite event management to ensure programmes run smoothly.
(c) Plan for efficient promotion of IAIS programmes and marketing strategies of its seminars, training courses and workshops.
(d) Provide and draft contents of programme leaflets, brochures and posters under the purview of the Seminar committee.
(e) Liaise, communicate and correspond with all speakers at IAIS Malaysia before and after events and conferences (for the purpose of getting their papers/presentations) and ensuring orderly progress of planned events and expected outcomes.
(f) Ensure all facilities and tools for events are in good working order.
(g) Present a dignified and respectable image of the Institute at all times.
(h) Upgrade, regularly update and classify IAIS’s data bank in cooperation with the IT Department.
(i) Chart workflows and prepare schedules within the Institute’s budget and expectations.
(j) Provide summaries and reports of all events and presentations, organize and archive all related documents (printed materials, audio-video recordings, photos).
(k) Help the Institute execute its plans and participate in consultation and committee works this may entail.
(l) Maintain a lively and healthy communication and work towards a consultative and congenial working environment with other staff of the Institute.
(m) Assist the management and undertake any other professional duties that the Institute may assign to you.

Requirements:

a) University degree or diploma; candidates with relevant qualifications and experience are preferred.
b) Malaysian citizen or Permanent Resident.
c) Excellent time-management and multi-tasking skills with passion for event management, public relations and intellectual exchange.
d) Willing to commute whenever assigned by the Institute to undertake duties outside of the office.
e) Excellent written and communication skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English.
