One of the Faculty’s missions is to ensure that it excels in becoming world status in providing educational, training and research leadership in law. In line with this aspiration, the Faculty of Law is proudly organizing an International Conference on Women and Children : Legal and Social Issues 2016 (ICWC 2016) as an excellent platform to gather all academicians from local and overseas, government and non-governmental  agencies, non-governmental institutions, private sectors, stakeholders, private practitioners, non-governmental organizations, students and others to discuss and to exchange opinions concerning legal and social issues relating to women and children.

ICWC 2016 provides an opportunity to all participants to build linkages and to deliberate on ways to strengthen the legal protection afforded to women and children. The organizing of ICWC 2016 is indeed timely, in line with many international developments that are taking place within the legal framework of domestic and international law that offer better protection to both women and children.

The weightiest deeds are three: financial assistance to one's fellows; deflecting your own injustice away from people; and remembrance of God in every circumstance. (hadith)

Quotable Quotes

After three days without reading, talk becomes flavourless - Chinese proverb

Humour Without Malice

A peasant from the countryside was in the city visiting a relative, who served him tea made with precious Songluo spring water. The peasant enjoyed the tea so much that he said "Excellent!" over and over, and thus his relative thought he could truly appreciate fine things. He asked his country cousin: "Are you referring to the tea or to the water?" The peasant said: "It's the hotness of the tea which I like the most."
