In line with this aspiration, the Faculty of Law is proudly organizing an International Conference on Women and Children : Legal and Social Issues 2016 (ICWC 2016) as an excellent platform to gather all academicians from local and overseas, government and non-governmental  agencies, non-governmental institutions, private sectors, stakeholders, private practitioners, non-governmental organizations, students and others to discuss and to exchange opinions concerning legal and social issues relating to women and children.

ICWC 2016 provides an opportunity to all participants to build linkages and to deliberate on ways to strengthen the legal protection afforded to women and children. The organizing of ICWC 2016 is indeed timely, in line with many international developments that are taking place within the legal framework of domestic and international law that offer better protection to both women and children.

Quotable Quotes

Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young - Henry Ford

Humour Without Malice

Haris bin 'Abbad, one of the rulers of Andalus, was looking to capture 'Adi bin Abi Rabi'ah in order to exact revenge from him. His problem, and that of many of his guards, was that he didn't know what Ibn Abi Rabi'ah looked like. A prisoner said to one of the guards, "Will you free me if I show you where Abi Rabi'ah is?" He said, "Yes, I promise." After an oath from him, he said, "I am 'Adi bin Abi Rabi'ah," and remembering his promise and oath, the guard just let him go free.

Hikmah

The Prophet Muhammad, peace be on him, said : Shall I tell you who is kept away from Hell? Everyone who is gentle and kindly, approachable and of an easy disposition. (Hadith At-Tirmidhi)
