Sustainability: 2050 food challenge

Globally, 800 million out of 7.6 billion people suffer from hunger. Although the number has decreased in recent decades, roughly one in 10 people goes to bed hungry every day, many of them from developing countries. In a tragic irony, an estimated 30 to 40 per cent of food in developed countries is lost to waste.
