General Standard
An Associate Research Fellow is expected to carry out research independently or as part of a team within the field in which the appointment is made and to pursue research relevant to the discipline.
Duties and Skills
- Write and publish books and papers in refereed journals, collect and analyse data and prepare reports
- Supervision of research support and technical staff in the relevant research programme and contribution to the teaching program of the IAIS
- Prepare submissions for research funding and sponsorship
- Participate in professional activities, including conferences and seminars in his/her field of expertise
- Contribute to the research culture of the Institute through membership of committees and contribution to the IAIS research output
- Articulate policy recommendations for government actors, NGOs, and Quangos.
Qualifications and Experience
An Associate Research Fellow must have a doctoral degree and the equivalent of three years’ post-doctoral experience with evidence of significant research output.
